‘Every artist was first an amateur.’ – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Have you always wanted to draw and paint but were too afraid to start? We are going to go on this journey together.
Leaving no one behind, Sinéad believes that everyone can learn to create, given the correct tools and time. Through her patience and guidance, the participants will gradually experiment and learn how to use some of the many methods and media available, broken down into easy-to-follow steps, helpful exercises, invaluable tips and encouragement.
Participants will learn the foundations of art - line, shape, form, texture, tone, space colour and value, and how to successfully express these in their work over the course of the 10 weeks. Each week you will also learn how to use pencil, charcoal, pen, ink, pastel, watercolour and acrylics.
We can then attempt to draw and paint naturally and honestly to produce a finished piece in the medium of each participant’s choice.
Sinéad is an art educator and designer, with over 20 years of experience. She is passionate about all things related to art, craft and design and loves to share her vast knowledge with students.
