Is this course for you?
We start with the basics and assume zero prior knowledge on this programme . As such this is a beginner's course that focuses on video editing. So, you will not be producing the next block buster movie with the content from this course, but you will leave with a fundamental understanding of how a film is put together and the teamwork involved.
PC’s & Software
You don’t have to worry about software, we’ll provide you with an MS Office account and an Adobe license. Also, students will have access to powerful PC’s during classes. However, be aware that if you want to use the Adobe suite at home, you will need a PC with a powerful graphics card. Since we won't be using the software immediately, we can discuss options at the beginning of the course.
Equipment
There are limited sets of cameras, lighting and sound recording equipment for use by students. All film projects use the Panasonic HC-X1. We use Sennheiser radio microphones, and LED three-point lighting equipment to provide an excellent standard of short film productions.
Dates: Starts 17th September and runs for 10 weeks (Tuesday evenings) until early December,
Break for Christmas and then starts back in late Jan until April for 10 more weeks.
Note: Also breaks for mid-terms
