Photography for Beginners - A picture paints a thousand words!
Learn to create aesthetically pleasing and exemplary images by exploring an array of photographic techniques. Technical aspects of picture-making are explained in easy to understand, practical terms in a relaxed and enjoyable workshop setting.
Photography offers the ability to expand our vision and view the world in a whole new way. Participants are introduced to the work of master photographers who have been a source of visual inspiration in times past and present.
Over 10 weekly sessions participants are introduced to:
Composition
Framing
Exploring new angles
Basic lighting techniques
Photo editing
The course is learner centred to encompass photographic interests and preferences which include portraits, landscapes, action, still life amongst much else.
Equipment needed: ideally an SLR camera (a camera with an interchangeable lens). Any camera or smartphone camera would be fine. If interested in purchasing an SLR camera but not sure what to buy, preferential needs should emerge during the course to help with decision making.
About your teacher:
Marianne has worked as a professional photographer for many years, engaged in various genres of photography including commercial, art, documentary, weddings, sports and portraiture. Formerly trained in Visual Communications, she has further qualified in her specialism with a Master of Arts Degree in Photography at the University of Arts, London.
